Roberto Santiago
Roberto A. Santiago is the principal of raSANTIAGO + Associates LLC (raSA). Before starting raSA in 2005 Roberto had a long career in software and technology consulting as well as advanced research in artificial intelligence and neuroscience.
Roberto formed raSA to market web-based and open-source based business software solutions in alignment with his greater belief in using technology to advance the cause of social justice.
His consulting career has focused on software development, enterprise software architecture, data management and new technology adoption. His software consulting career began in 1989 after graduating high school. He gained valuable experience with developing, applying and managing advanced technology during engagements at the National Science Foundation, USAirways and Booz and Company (formerly Booz Allen & Hamilton).
Roberto has a bachelors of science from the University of Maryland where he studied Mathematics and Philosophy. He also has a masters of science from Portland State University where he researched and developed advanced theories of computational intelligence. Roberto has also done graduate research at Oregon Health and Science University where he focused on biological cybernetics.
Nim Wunnan
I came to raSA because of the value the company places on integrative thinking and the creative process and a misguided belief that it was a grown-up-job.
I'm the midfielder in the office, covering everything from original design to custom development and data migration on web systems such as CiviCRM, modx, and, unless I can avoid it, Drupal. I own the most powerful and annoying-to-use dart gun in the office.
After working in rare books for seven years, I moved on in 2004 to focus on my visual art and writing, a decision influenced by my allergy to mildew and celibacy. I graduated with an honors degree in painting from the Glasgow School of Art in 2008, where I was once attacked by a miniature riot that no one else saw.
I currently run Research Club, a community-supported think-tank and money-disposal-device located down the street from the raSA offices. The community-building technology and patterns at the core of raSA continues to create mutually-beneficial overlap between the missions Research Club and raSA and somehow convinces me to often spend my spare time doing what I do at work.
A recent recipient of a RACC grant for visual art, I actively study contemporary art and literature, alternative education, and Tai Chi. I owned a monitor lizard named Velocipede for 4 years, and a loyal, misbehaved dog named Potato for 13.

I came to rasa 4+ years ago. I was drawn to the business philosophy focused on social justice and innovation.
Coming from a strong background in business management and customer service working with non-profits, it was a perfect fit for me. All of raSA agrees that my civilizing influence is the only thing keeping the development team from turning into cavemen.
Andy Skogrand
Hi, I'm Andy and I'm here at raSA because, like midwives, I want to help people out. I grew up in a world where the web was bright, shiny and new. I'm working hard to make sure the first two adjectives remain true.
I grew up in Southeast Portland. After spending the past few years in Seattle and San Francisco, I'm happy to back. I attended the University of San Francisco, graduating in 2007 with a BA in Visual Arts. Since graduation, I've spent most of my time in web development and graphic design. The rest of my time is typically spent on bizarre hobbies and trying to remember when I last saw a specific Seinfeld episode.
I took this job because I was promised that I wouldn't have to write my own SQL calls if I don't want to.
Scott Thompson
I came to raSA after more than a decade in corporate finance, looking for a way I could apply my business-world expertise with operational and financial analytics, strategic business planning and merger and acquisitions prior to founding Business Intelligence, Inc. (BII) in 2003.
Prior to founding Business Intelligence, Inc. (BII) in 2003, I led a distinguished career working with operational and financial analytics, strategic business planning and mergers and acquisitions.
At BII, I was responsible for driving the vision of the company while growing the overall business, which ultimately led to its acquisition in 2008 just prior to its registering for a public offering. Since the sale of BII, I have consulted with numerous early stage organizations, helping raise capital, build go-to-market strategies and validate technology decisions. I hold a BS in mathematical economics and accounting, an MBA in and numerous professional and technical certifications, including a Masters level certification in Microsoft technologies.
Also, I once drank a diet coke from Mcdonalds every day for 172 consecutive days. I feel that is one of my greater accomplishments.
